Key Responsibilities:- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update accounting records and files. Analyze budgets and create financial reports.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoicing, handle accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely payment of bills.
- Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Budget Preparation: Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking against budget.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax filing.
- Lease Renewals: Assist with updating lease renewals in compliance with HUD and affordable housing regulations.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling financial data.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized records.
- Mathematical and Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in basic math and ability to analyze financial data.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication capabilities to interact with vendors, tenants, and management staff.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in Yardi Voyager and Checkscan, familiarity with standard accounting software like QuickBooks or Sage, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A high school diploma is required, but an associate’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, especially within property management, is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with HUD and managing affordable housing portfolios is required.
Salary: up to $55,000 per year
